Andy
Ismail founded Biscayne Capital Markets in the summer
of 2001 to provide advisory services to small and micro cap companies
underserved by the big bulge investment banking firms. Previously,
Andy headed the private equity group at a specialized healthcare
investment banking boutique and helped raise tens of millions in
private equity capital for the firm's corporate clients.
Andy started his career as an investment banking analyst
at BankAmerica Securities working in the leveraged finance
group where he was part of deal teams responsible for structuring
and financing large LBOs and M&A transactions for LBO
funds. Additionally, Andy worked for ABN AMRO Bank in the
acquisition finance and private equity group.
Andy earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration
with a finance major from the University of Nebraska and an
MBA from the University of Miami.
Javier Zuazo
joined Biscayne Capital Markets during the winter of 2006 to assist
with marketing activities and the servicing of existing clients.
Previously Javier was employed by a major consumer electronics
manufacturer where he covered the Latin America region as a district
sales manager. His duties included analyzing small companies &
providing corporate advisory services regarding their unique market
conditions. Javier was also employed in Philadelphia & Miami by a
division of United Technologies Corporation (Carrier Corporation) as
a marketing representative in their commercial services department.
Javier earned a
Bachelor's of Arts Degree from Temple University in Philadelphia
(1992) and an MBA with a specialization in International Business
from the University of Miami (2005).
